Are you a Legal Permanent Resident who is thinking about applying for Citizenship? Cobb County Adult Education offers Citizenship classes 4 days a week. Classes are at The Cobb County Adult Education Center located at 240 Barber Road Marietta, GA 30060. Classes are offered Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon to 1, Monday and Wednesday from 5 PM to 6 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 5 PM to 6 PM. Classes are located in Trailer 1. To register for classes please go to Trailer 1 during class time and talk to the instructor. There is no deadline for registration. Please bring a valid photo ID such as a drivers license or your Permanent Residency card. Classes are free and study material will be provided.

USCIS is the government institution previously referred to as INS. Their website is uscis.gov and it provides all the necessary instructions, study material, telephone numbers, addresses, requirements, regulations, forms, applications, and fees for applying for citizenship. To pass the Citizenship test you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. This is where many applicants have difficulty with the test. If your English is, as many people say,"not so good", come down to Cobb Adult Ed and register for both the Citizenship Classes and English as Second Classes. You can take the Citizenship class from 5 to 6 and then take ESL classes from 6 to 9 to really improve your English.
Are you a Permanent Resident without a high school diploma? You can also take GED classes to get your General Equivalency Diploma. Take the Citizenship Class from 5 to 6 and then GED classes from 6 to 9.
